Amber Muller
Amber Muller is a pianist, composer and arranger who teaches students to play with confidence, feeling and a real sense of story. She came to the piano as a young adult and reached a Grade 8-equivalent standard within five years, so she understands first-hand what steady, rewarding progress looks like. Her piano compositions and arrangements have been recorded by pianists around the world, and her YouTube channel, where she shares recordings of her work, reaches a few thousand listeners every month. While she enjoys all styles of music, her favourite is the Impressionism of the French composers Ravel and Debussy.
Amber holds a degree in psychology, awarded with distinction, which shapes how she understands and encourages each student as they learn. Her lessons are gentle, patient and paced to the individual, with as much attention given to confidence as to technique. She balances the core pieces every pianist needs with music her students are excited to play, and grounds it all in the theory that makes for a well-rounded musician. Above all, she wants her students to enjoy making music and to discover just how much they are capable of.
